The progress of construction on the New Pierce County High School is moving steadily and is slightly ahead of schedule.
The first masonry has begun on the front-main wing. The foundation pours are complete on the front-main wing and continue toward completion at the CTAE wing. The contractor is pouring between 100 and 150 yards of concrete a day. Steel structure is scheduled to begin soon on the front wing, and concrete block masonry will be underway on the classroom/science lab wing at the same time.
At this time the project is a little ahead of schedule and on budget.
